Math Enrichment Baseball Simulation

Action Math Baseball provides an effective program to help students improve their attitude, fluency and math skills taught in grades 5-7.

This virtual learning environment motivates students to apply math concepts in a meaningful way to manage their own Major League All-Star team. This self-paced, real-world software requires no previous experience with baseball and allows the student to work independently.

The student will follow the steps outlined in the simulation to improve their team's batting statistics and will be ranked nationally on the Action Math Baseball's Learderboard.

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Negro Leagues

The Negro Leagues began in 1920 and became a catalyst for economic growth in African-American communities across the country helping to spark social change in America. In recognition of the Negro Leagues, nine players featured in the Negro League Baseball Museum's Field of Legends are included in the simulation.

Software Description

The key aspect of the Simulation is for students to improve the batting statistics of their team.

  • Students learns how to select the player’s ‘best’ batting year.
  • Students learn how to build a probability wheel representing the likelihood of eight possible batting outcomes.
  • Students learn how to set their batting order to optimize runs.
  • Students draft new players to improve their team’s overall batting performance.
  • Students virtually compete against their classmates and all thirty Major League Baseball Teams.

Easy and Intuitive

The software is easy to use and available 24/7 via the Internet from desktop Windows or Macs, iPads, Chromebooks or Android Tablets. There are several on-demand video tutorials that guide students through the interface as well as help them with their math.

The Digital Stadium manages the baseball rules using controls and animation to monitor simulated games. The Scoreboard displays team rosters, batting lineup, hits, runs and outs throughout the virtual game.

And if you have any questions, our Customer Support Team is available Monday through Friday.
